When it comes to gaskets, you need to know that your car makes use of these in ways that you probably never even realized existed. They are so important in terms of helping your car to stay cool and function properly. The barriers that they provide keep certain things out, while keeping others in.

To illustrate how important gaskets are, consider the function of a differential gasket. These provide a seal that keeps dirt out of your transmission. If you have ever had to pay for a new transmission, then you can appreciate how important this is. The impurities are kept out of the equation, allowing your transmission to function properly.

There are also engine gaskets. These perform a reverse function in that they keep important fluids and lubricants inside the engine where they belong. This helps eliminate much of the friction that would quickly cause your engine to overheat if the gaskets were not there to prevent it.
