ESSENTIAL
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Keep
abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., etc., and how
they benefit customers
- Deliver
vehicles to customers. The delivery process ensures that the customer
understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork, and
it lays the foundation for customer loyalty
- Understand
the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of
technological changes in the product
- Know and
understand equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to the
customer
- Know and
understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto
sales
- Acquire
product knowledge to ensure a complete presentation of the vehicles for
sale
- Use
dealership sales techniques
- Prospect
using dealership records and cold calling techniques to provide adequate
sales opportunities and meet objectives
- Become
skilled at dealing with people in sales situations
- Adhere
to dealer policies regarding prospecting, product presentation,
counseling, demonstration drive, closing, F&I, delivery, and follow-up
- Other
duties assigned.
