Safety is a top priority for any car company, and BMW has been at the forefront of developing new safety features. The latest addition to their lineup of vehicles is the X2 crossover SUV. This compact vehicle offers a lot of head-turning style, but it also delivers on safety with plenty of intuitive features that help you stay safe on the road.
BMW is known for being ahead of their time, and the all-new X2 is no exception. This model is the first ever car to include front collision radar technology. This exceptional safety feature works using the front radar sensor to determine whether or not you are at risk of an accident. When your speed is anywhere between 12 and 35 MPH, this innovative system will provide you with three unique warnings:
- The first warning tells you that a potential collision may occur if no action is taken, though it does not trigger the brakes.
- The second warning will sound an alert if you are still not accelerating, but it will still refrain from applying full braking force.
- Once you reach that 12-mile per hour threshold, the third and final warning triggers both the visual and auditory alerts simultaneously.
